Northampton Opens 2022 Campaign With 6-3 Victory Over Camden
BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The two-time defending Region 19 champion Northampton women's tennis team opened the 2022 campaign with a 6-3 victory over Camden County College on Saturday afternoon.
The Spartans were victorious despite falling at #1 doubles, #1 singles and #2 singles. Elizabeth Hozza (Northampton, PA/Northampton), the defending Region 19 singles champion lost her first Region 19 singles match of her career, falling to Madison Scambia 8-6, 6-4.

The Spartans, now 1-0 on the season, have a quick turnaround as they head to Ocean County College on Sunday for a noon match.
Northampton has not lost a Region 19 match since September 22, 2019, when they fell to Camden.
