Mercer's Madigan Named GSAC Player of the Week for 10/2-10/8

Freshman defender Fiona Madigan continues to anchor Mercer's defense and helped hold Mercer's opponent scoreless for the third straight game following a 0-0 tie at RCSJ Cumberland this week. Madigan has been the Vikings central defender. Madigan has been very difficult to beat in 1 v 1 situations, always plays relaxed and helps set the tone for the team. In a 11-0 win vs Lackawanna last week, Madigan moved from defense to striker and had a hat trick. Madigan's versatility and calm but tough presence in the backfield have led Mercer's defense and kept them in every game this season.
