Brookdale Women's Soccer To Play For National Championship

The Brookdale Community College women's soccer team advances to the National championship game for the second straight year after a 3-0 victory of Rock Valley College (IL) (12-3-1) this afternoon.

The Brookdale Community College women's soccer team advances to the National championship game for the second straight year after a 3-0 victory of Rock Valley College (IL) (12-3-1) this afternoon.

Freshman Ashley Cafarella (Old Bridge, NJ/Old Bridge) put Brookdale on the board first, finding the back of the net off an indirect kick from Brooke Tartis (Neptune, NJ/Neptune) in the 20th minute. Sophomore Caroline Duerr (Brielle, NJ/Manasquan) proved to be unstoppable once again, scoring the Blues' final two goals iin the second half to secure the squad's 19th victory of the year.

Brookdale will now face Richland Community College (TX) (17-5-2) in the NJCAA Division III National Championship game. The match-up is slated for Sunday, November 16th at 3:30 p.m. on the campus of Ocean County College.
