VINELAND - Maxine Ampofo and Khila Morris are named GSAC Womens Basketball Players of the Week
Maxine Ampofo - RCSJ-Gloucester - D3 Womens Basketball POTW
Ampofo finished the week with an incredible 21 points and 12 rebounds against Region 19 opponent, Montgomery County. Her efforts helped capture an eye-popping 19th straight victory for the Roadrunners to secure a top-seeded position in the upcoming Region 19 tournament.
Khila Morris - Union - D2 Womens Basketball POTW
Khila Morris showcased her exceptional skills, delivering standout plays for the Union College Owls throughout the week. The sophomore guard demonstrated her scoring prowess with a 32-point performance, coupled with 5 rebounds, 11 assists, and 8 steals against Ulster County Community College. Morris then followed that performance with 20-points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, and 5 steals against Monroe College - Bronx. Her outstanding contribution played a pivotal role in securing a both victories last week. For the entire week, Morris maintained an impressive level of consistency, averaging 26 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists, and 7 steals per game. Her all-around performance reflects not only her scoring ability but also her versatility and skill.
The Owls are set to return to action on Tuesday, February 20th , as they host Lackawanna College. Tip-off is set for 6:30pm et.
