Ella Hayes named GSAC DII Softball Player of the Week

VINELAND - The Salem Mighty Oaks have run off 14 straight victories, including three consecutive sweeps this past week against Northampton, Middlesex, and Sussex CCC.  Ella Hayes had much to do with the results as the freshman shortstop batted .764 (13 for 17) with two doubles, two HRs, 11 runs scored and 15 RBIs.  The eye-popping stat line has led Salem to the top of Region XIX with a big matchup against perennial Region XIX contender, Mercer CC, on tap for Tuesday, April 2 at 3 PM.
