D I Essex and D III Ocean Win 2013 Region XIX Men's XC Championships
Lincroft, NJ – On a beautiful sunny and cool fall day, Thompson Park once again played host to the 2013 DI and D III Men's and Women's Region XIX Cross Country Championships. This is the 4th consecutive year Brookdale Community College has hosted the championship meet at Thompson Park. The men's and women's races began on time and saw the top DI and DIII runners in Region XIX vie for the top individual and team championships in the region.
In the Division I men's race Essex County College took home the men's division I regional championship scoring 15 points. They had three of the top 5 finishers including Andre Colebrook who crossed the finish line first with a time of 27:23.774. In the Division III men's race, Ocean County College took home the Region XIX team championship with a score of 34 points, holding off second place Gloucester County College and third place Beregn County College. The men's division III men's race was won by Pat Mccurry of Gloucester CC with a time of 26:55.790.
