PCCC’s Men’s Basketball Devinir Garvey Obtains 1000 Career Points

Paterson, NJ - Devinir Garvey's quest to obtain 1000 career points as a member of Passaic County Community College Men's Basketball Team became a reality during a scheduled home game against conference rival RCSJ-Gloucester on Saturday, February 10, 2024.

The 6'8" sophomore forward had a game high of 35 points to help PCCC Men's Basketball clinch a 89 – 67 victory over their opponent.

Devinir received the game ball as an accolade for receiving his 1000 career points at PCCC before a number of spectators, friends and family.

He was also honored as part PCCC's "Sophomore Award Ceremony" for basketball student-athletes prior to tip-off.

Anthony Virgil, PCCC Head Men's Basketball Coach noted that Devinir has joined the ranks of an elite group of players scoring 1000 points in school history. The last PCCC Men's Basketball player to score 1000 career points was Quado Meyers in season 2004-2005.
