Brookdale's Head Baseball Coach Johnny Johnson Reaches 800th Win

Lincroft, NJ - In his 25th year as the Brookdale Community College Head Baseball Coach, Johnny Johnson, hit an amazing mark of earning his 800th career win after the first game of their double header against Montgomery County Community College on Friday, March 8th. The Jersey Blues won 10-2, then went on to win the second game, 5-1. 

Following the victories over Montgomery CCC, the Jersey Blues went on a full weekend tear as they swept Kingsborough Community College, 12-0, and Bronx Community College, 13-1 and 23-3, to improve Johnson's current career record to 804-346 with 38 regular season games remaining in the season.

A 1980-81 Brookdale baseball catcher himself, Johnson began his head coaching career in 1999 with the Blues and has been named Region XIX Coach of the Year six times, and Garden State Athletic Conference Coach of the Year six times as well.
