Nasi and Smith Earn GSAC Player of the Week Honors

North Branch, NJ -- Junior Nasi's hot bat at the top of the Bergen's lineup earned the shortstop GSAC Player of the Week honors for the week ending 4/19/2015. Nasi hit .677 last week and was tops on the team with 32 total bases and had five stolen bases. Nasi also collected 12 RBIs and scored sixteen runs. With Nasi providing an offensive boost, the Bulldogs went 5-2 during the week. What's more, Nasi had hit for the cycle against Middlesex CC on 4/16 and went 5-6 with four runs scored and six RBI.

Justin Smith from Cumberland County College earns GSAC Player of the Week for the week ending 4/19/2015. In a complete game shutout win over Northampton CC, Cumberland RHP Justin Smith sprinkled six hits and four walks over those seven innings, striking out seven Spartan batters. Smith's win put him at 7-0 overall with a 1.25 ERA and 50 total strikeouts, good for 10.19 strikeouts per nine innings pitched.
