GSAC Baseball Players of the Week Announced

North Branch, NJ-- Eric Drzewiecki from Raritan Valley Community College has been named the Garden State Athletic Conference DII Player of the Week for the week ending 4/5/15. Drzewiecki pitched an impressive 11 innings while striking out five and leading RVCC to a 5-4 Region 19 victory over County College of Morris. Drzewiecki also had four hits throughout the week with an average of .333.

Lincroft, NJ-- Tim Carney from Brookdale Community College has been named the Garden State Athletic Conference DIII Player of the Week for the week ending 4/5/2015. On a 4-0 week for the Jersey Blues, sophomore designated hitter Tim Carney hit for a scorching .600 (12-for-20) with eight runs and seven RBIs. Of his 12 hits, seven were of the extra-base variety with four doubles, two triples and one homerun. The Brick native was a homerun away from hitting for the cycle in a 27-0 rout of Bucks. In that same game, Carney was five-for-five with four RBIs.
