Cumberland and Gloucester Set to Meet for Region XIX Title

TOMS RIVER, NJ - 2nd seeded Gloucester County worked their way through the losers bracket on Friday and Saturday and now will face #1 Cumberland County College on Sunday at 12pm at Ocean County College with the Region XIX Division III Baseball title on the line.

The Roadrunners, who dropped their opening game to 3rd seeded Ocean, 4-2, rebounded to eliminate 4th seeded Brookdale Community College, 10-2 on Friday afternoon. Gloucester then faced two "do or die" games on Saturday, downing Ocean County 6-5 and then rallying for two runs in the top of the 8th to give Cumberland their first loss of the tournament, 5-4.

Gloucester's victory sets up a winner take all scenario on Sunday as the Roadrunners (34-10) face the Dukes (45-8) for the right to advance to the NJCAA World Series in Tyler, Texas.
