Ocean CC and Brookdale CC Women's Soccer Teams Join Forces to Kick to a Cure

Toms River, NJ - The women's soccer teams of Ocean County College and Brookdale Community College joined forces in recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which begins on October 1.

In a show of solidarity for those who have been affected by this disease, both teams dressed for their pre-game warmups in pink shirts emblazoned with a "Kick to Cure" theme, and competed in pink socks ahead in their match at Ocean County College this afternoon.

"More than 700 women in the United States alone are diagnosed with breast cancer every day," remarked OCC Executive Director of Athletics Ilene Cohen. "We were honored to come together with Brookdale today to raise awareness for and salute those who have encountered this disease that has touched so many of us."
