Brookdale WSOC Grab Region 19 District East A Title

Lincroft, NJ - The Brookdale Women's Soccer team has earned a bid to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division III Women's Soccer National Championship Tournament after claiming the Region 19 District East A Title vs Camden County College. The Brookdale Jersey Blues beat the Camden Cougars, 6-0, to clinch their first trip to nationals under Head Coach, Nil Onder.

Sophomore forward, Jada Trotta, had an exceptional day as she planted four goals in the back of the net and was named the Offensive Player of the Game. Trotta and freshman forward, Samantha Coleman, were quite a duo as Coleman was responsible for assisting Jada in three of the four goals. Coleman collected a goal herself in the 55th minute, as she was fed by sophomore forward, Rebeckah Trumble.

Freshman midfielder, Dorothy Seidle, cranked in two goals, 18 minutes apart, with help from freshman defender, Hailey Kret, on her feed. On the defensive end, sophomore goalkeeper, Emma Bennett, grabbed 10 saves for the Blues and freshman midfielder, Paige Coulahan, held down the back field, earning, Defensive Player of the Game. 

The NJCAA Division III Women's Soccer National Championship Tournament will take place at Genesee Community College in Batavia, NY, from November 11th-14th, 2021.
