Marsh, Shevlin earn GSAC DIII POTW honors

VINELAND - Makenzie Marsh of Middlesex College and Mallory Shevlin of Brookdale CC earn GSAC DIII Softball weekly honor.

GSAC DIII Player of the Week - Makenzie Marsh - Middlesex College

Freshman 2B, Makenzie Marsh, had a fantastic week for the Colts as she went 7 for 11 with 7 runs scored and 5 RBIs.  Middlesex, who currently sit atop the Region XIX rankings, went 4-0 on the week with two important victories of 7th ranked Northampton. Marsh played a crucial role in those victories as she finished the week with a .636 batting average and a 1.441 OPS.

GSAC DIII Pitcher of the Week - Mallory Shevlin - Brookdale CC

Sophomore pitcher Mallory Shevlin is a powerhouse in the pitching circle and at the plate. Shevlin spun for 36 innings and totaled 49 strikeouts leading the Jersey Blues to a 5-1 record on the week. In addition to her fantastic week in the circle, Shevlin contributed offensively as well totaling 15 hits including two doubles and two triples. Shevlin crossed the plate six times herself and knocked in 14 runs for the Jersey Blues.
