GSAC announces DIII Softball Pitcher and Player of the Week

VINELAND - After a big opening weekend, Middlesex College Softball sweeps pitcher and player of the week honors.

Pitcher - Madison Racketts - Middlesex

Madison Rackett locked it down on the mound in game 1 with 8 K's and only giving up 1 hit and no runs over 5 innings for the shutout. In game 2 of the DH vs Bergen, she came in relief and pitched 3.1 innings with no earned runs to secure the win for Middlesex College. She was 2-0 on the day with an ERA of 0.00. She also went 7-8 at the plate (.875), with 3 doubles, 1 HR, 5 RBI's and 4 runs scored over the two games.

Player - Makenzie Marsh - Middlesex

In game one, Makenzie Marsh went 2-4, with 1 HR, 4 RBI's and 4 runs scored. In game two she exploded with 3 hits in 4 ABs with 2 HR's, 6 RBIs, and 4 runs scored. She also had 5 POs with no errors in the field.  In total for the DH vs Bergen, Makenzie Marsh went 5 for 8 (.625) with 3 HR's, 10 RBI's and 8 runs scored and 5 POs with no errors.
