Camden Women's Tennis Wins Region 19 Championship

Blackwood, NJ- Camden County College Women's Tennis came in 1st place in the 2024 NJCAA Region 19 Championship Tournament and all seven players landed on the All-Region Team. 

On April 27th-28th, 2024 Women's Tennis traveled to Mercer County Park to compete in the NJCAA DIII Region 19 Championship. Women's Tennis entered the tournament 4-2 overall and on a three-game win-streak.  Also in attendance, Brookdale Community College, Ocean County College, and Rowan College of South Jersey- Gloucester. On tournament day one, Cougars won the 1,2, and 3 singles matches and the one doubles for a total of four points. Tournament day two deemed successful again for women's tennis. The Cougars dominated the 2,4, and 5 singles and won the 1&2 doubles matches. On day two the Cougars added eight points to the Cougars 12 total for the weekend.

Camden finished first overall in the regional tournament and earned a lot of recognition along the way.  Every member of the Camden County College Women's Tennis team landed on the 2024 All-Region Team. Bryn Kelleher (2nd singles) and Selena Guerrero (4th singles) landed on the First Team list for crushing their opponents in the singles matches. Two doubles pairs also made the First team All-Region list, Catelyn Kiefreider and  partner Bryn Kelleher (1st Doubles), and Natalie Sosing with partner Selena Guerrero (2nd Doubles). Named to the NJCAA All-Region Second Team were Catelyn Kiefreider (1st singles), Natalie Sosing (3rd Singles), Maria Hana with partner Amairah Harrison (3rd Doubles). NJCAA Region 19 announced Louise Senopoulos as the 2024 Coach of the Year for her outstanding coaching efforts this season. Head Coach Lousie Senopoulos is no stranger to the Regional Championship as she has pioneered a series of several championships since her arrival at Camden County College. This marks a total of 5 Region 19 Titles, 6 GSAC Championships, and a back-to-back national appearance, after placing 2nd in the 2023 NJCAA DIII National Championship.

The Garden State Athletic Conference announced Head Coach Louise Senopoulos as the 2024 GSAC Coach of the Year as well. Seven Cougars made the GSAC 1st and 2nd teams as well: Bryn Kelleher (2nd Singles), Selena Guerrero (4th Singles), Maria Hana (5th Singles), Doubles Pair: Natalie Sosing & Selena Guerrero (2nd Doubles) and Maria Hana & Amairah Harrison (3rd Doubles). 


Head Coach Senopoulos will lead the Cougars to yet another trip to the national court as they travel to Chattanooga, Tennessee on Thursday May 8, 2024.
